He considered the relative merits of the 2 company.

Relative Merits of Presidential, Parliamentary and Semi-Presidential Systems
Before ordering the dinner, they considered the relative merits of chicken and roast beef.

There is nothing in the hall but wall-to-wall people.

The cocktail party last night was so crowded. It was wall-to-wall people.
There's practically no more space in his room except wall-to-wall books.

You've just said a mouthful!

(The amount of food or other material that can be placed or held in the mouth at one time),而say a mouthful是一个美国俚语,意思是,说得中肯,说到点子上。 (An important or perceptive remark)。
Senator, I want to tell you that you sure said a mouthful when you said taxes are too high and you'd work hard to lower them. Good to hear, and you can certainly count on my vote!

Be green with envy

They danced gracefully and that made everyone present green with envy.

Seeing all those nice birthday presents her sister had received, she was green with envy.
Seeing his former sweet-heart in the arms of another man, the green-eyed young man nearly went crazy.
