Author Bio
Geoffrey Samuelsson-Brown is a technical translator and business adviser with considerable experience. He has lectured extensively on the practical and technical aspects of translation, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is known internationally and has given many papers to national and international conferences. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Linguists and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and a Member of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators. As part of his continuous personal development he completed an MBA in 2001 in Strategic Management, International Enterprise and a management research project entitled “Skills auditing in small to medium-sized enterprises”. He is also a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Directors.

Edwin Gentzler is Director of the Translation Center and Associate Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is co-editor (with Maria Tymoczko) of Translation and Power (Amherst: University of Massachusetts Press, forthcoming) and author of numerous articles on translation theory and practice. He serves as co-editor (with Susan Bassnett) of the Topics in Translation Series for Multilingual Matters and is on the editorial board of several journals, including Metamorphoses (Amherst/Northampton), Across (Hungary), and Cadernos de Tradu玢o (Brazil).
