so...that如果从字面来译，“太...以致”，但这个有点像西化句子，这里举一例来说明比较符合地道汉语的译法


原文： ...compete with the normal wild males so successfully that, after repeated releases, only infertile eggs would be produced and the population would die out.
译文：...和正常的野害虫竞争，这样重复多次后，就能成功地使害虫只能产出不生育的卵细胞，害虫就会绝迹了。
