本书结合作者近20年的研究心得,从哲学与文化的层次以及“操纵”、“谦和”与“艺术”的角度来深人探讨华人的语言行为,旨在为读者展现一个丰富多彩的华 人语言行为的全貌。在跨文化交际学领域,对华人语言沟通的分析至今尚不够深刻与全面,本书力求弥补这一缺失,一方面抛砖引玉,让更多的读者来思考华人的文 化内涵,并进一步探讨华人的语言沟通行为;另一方面也为跨文化交际学学者提供一个崭新的视角,使之重新思考东西文化二分法的偏见与局限。
作者简介
张惠晶为美国伊利诺大学香槟城分校传播学博士,现任伊利诺大学芝加哥分校荣誉学院常务副院长,以及传播学系大学部主任及副教授,于1995—2001年间 担任传播研究所所长,并经美国首都大学法学院认证为调解人。主要研究方向为华人沟通行为与东西文化比较,并对西方研究提出批判。曾任中华传播学会长,台湾 大学新闻研究所访问学者(2003—2004),香港浸会大学传播学系访问学者(2007)。学术研究论文刊载于各主要国际学术期刊与专书。其研究曾多次 荣获学术奖学金,以及各学术会议特定领域论文首奖。现担任《亚太传播研究季刊》等传播学期刊编辑委员与评审,及国际学术会议论文审核人。
