优美的朗费罗：cute<<The First Snow>>
亨利&#8226;沃兹沃斯&#8226;朗费罗(1807一1882)美国诗人。他一生创作了
大量的抒情诗、歌谣、叙事诗和诗剧，最为有名的是《海华沙之歌》和
《伊万杰琳》。作为诗人，他的诗清新隽永。受其诗的影响，他的散文诗
意盎然，朴素流畅。“TheFirstSnow”一文虽然只有一百一十八字，但
内容非常丰富，写景生动感人，俨然是一篇优美的散文。
THE FIRST SNOW

The first snow came. How beautiful it was, falling so silently all day long, all night long, on the mountains, on the meadows, on the roofs of the living, on the graves of the dead! All white save the river, that marked its course by a winding black line across the landscape; and the leaflesstrees, that against the leaden sky now revealed more fully the wonderful beauty and intricacies of their branches. What silence, too, came with the snow, and what seclusion! Every sound was muffled, every noise changed to something soft and musical. No more tramping hoofs, no more rattling wheels! Only the chiming of sleigh-bells, beating as swift and merrily as the hearts of children.
初雪飘临。多么美啊！它整日整夜那么静静的飘着，落在山岭上，落在草地上，落在世人的屋顶上，落在死者的坟墓上！在一片白茫茫之中，只有河流在美丽的画面上划出一道曲曲弯弯的黑线；还有那叶儿落静的树木，映衬着铅灰色的天空，此刻更显得枝丫交错，姿态万千。初雪飘落时，是何等的宁谧，何等的幽静！一切声响都趋沉寂，一切噪音都化作柔和的音乐。再也听不见马蹄得得，再也听不见车轮辚辚！唯有雪橇的铃铛，奏出和谐的乐声，那明快欢乐的节拍犹如孩子们心房的搏动。

解释为“牧场”。3.=Allwaswhi*e。这是句子的主句。4.古语用法，prep.，
相当于beside，意为“除&#8226;&#8226;一以外”。save后面跟了两个并列成份:theriver和the
leaflesstrees;而这两个并列成份又各带一个that引起的定语从句。5.意为“标
示出它所走过的路线”。6.现在分词作形容词用，意为“弯弯曲曲的”。7.prep.
意为“以什么为陪衬”。8.在本文中相当于showed。9.这儿指“树枝的缠结交
