This course intends to provide information and knowledge of Chinese legal system. It includes the history, basic constitutional, governmental, legal and judicial structures, etc. With the view that legal rules and systems are integral parts of the overall social system, it tries to teach not only rules, but also its social context, its operation in practice and its interplay with other social structures.
