Can't agree more with you.
As to my experience, I think above mentioned several points are suitable in learning any foreign language.
As the old saying goes, "ractice Makes Perfect". No practice, no progress. That is always true. Have you ever seen anybody who know how to build houses without doing it by himself? Of course some may start from theoretical study, but practice can never be neglected. Or you cannot be a real constructor. So is in language learning.
Foreign laguage as your second or third or fourth laguage, it cannot avoid influences from your mother tongue. Cultural differences are always there. If you want to learn foreign language well, you must devote yourself completely into the foreign culture. Only in this, can it be mastered.
This we can do by using foreign-foreign language dictionary and trying hard to reduce influence from your own culture. You may also try to read more and cultivate a good sense of language to which you are learning. The more you read, the better you will find yourself be. Little by little, you will learn to think in the foreign way of thinking, and you are a master now.
So, keep to it and be a good foreign language learner. |
