my homework on the following task:
Some people enjoy change, and they look forward to new experiences.
Others like their lives to stay the same, and they do not change their usual habits.
Compare these two approaches to life. Which approach do you prefer? Explain why.
In general, there are two approaches to life. One is change, which is an altitude of looking forward to new experiences. Another is not change, which is a tendency to stay the same. As for me, I prefer the former undoubtedly. The reasons why I enjoy change are as follows.
Change is the requirement of the development of this world. We are living in a new world. One feature of this world is technology and knowledge are renewed at a fast speed. Take computer technology as an example, we can’t imagine how fast it has developed. Twenty years ago we did not know how to handle a computer. But it has become one part of our life now. It is not only a tool for us to study, to communicate, to work. It is also an important mean to control the process of production and transportation. It is not exaggerated that our life will be a mess without computer. In order to catch up with the development of the world, we have to change, change our mind, change the structure of our knowledge, as well as change the capacity of adapting change.
Second, change is the requirement to advance myself. We can’t live in the past. We can’t always be satisfied with actuality as well. As a young man, we have our own dreams. To fulfill these dreams, we must better ourselves all the time. We should correct our shortcomings continually and change our personality, capacity and intellectuality to a high level.
Last, change will give us a vivid life. Life without change is dull and colorless. While we change, we will find more interesting things, thus our life will become interesting. |
