It is not shame for a man to learn that which he knows not, whatever be his age.  一个人不论年龄多大，都要学习不懂的东西，这不是羞耻.

     The longer we’re away from books, the more we’d like to carry on learning. That is not only for our daily work but for what we are really interested in as well. Theory does good to practice only after it is applied to real life and work! Learning always goes ahead before imagination and creation. It is not shame for a man to learn that which he knows not, whatever be his age.

i'm afraid i can't agree with you about this.in my opinion,thinking is as important as learning.we even can say thinking is more important than learning.
