。。。。。。。。把中文成语翻成英文，一般是在英文成语中找个和它类似的。。。。。所以字面上往往差异很大，，我那句是亚里斯多德说的，，，虽然不算成语，，不过也算是名言，呵呵~~~~

谢谢飞羽、 sunmengsi 、iampm 、bluklin 众大侠的精彩翻译，以及带给我的启发和灵感。

我觉得 iampm 斑竹的 “Tasty cherry is hard to plant”已经非常精到。不过“plant"一词，似乎只有栽种入土这个意思，若能改成”grow"是否更贴切一点，因为“grow”一词有通过人的劳动培育生长的意思。
故我冒昧把 iampm 斑竹的 “Tasty cherry is hard to plant”改为：

Tasty cherry is hard to grow.

请大侠指正！

dashuh所用的grow在下个人认为也可以，，但是有句话要修正一下下：
”因为“grow”一词有通过人的劳动培育生长的意思。“
grow做生长的时候是不及物动词，是不会有被动的。
好在，grow也可以做及物动词，也恰恰就和plant一样是种植的意思，语法上没有问题，，不过要是在下来选，，还是更偏向斑竹的plant，，造句往往是第一感觉，，grow这个词用在种植上的几率很小，往往是用它的“生长”的意思更多些，，而且对于两层意思的词，为防止歧异我是很少使用的，，
呵呵~~还有个很傻的原因，tasty是5个字母，，plant也是5个字母，所以。。。（啊！dashuh不要打偶。。。！·#%＠…#·）

Tasty cherries are hard to grow  要更好些，要不然就 用 a tasty cherry is hard to grow。

不好意思，有点钻牛角尖。
