I want to ________ in a white shirt and blue trousers for the party.
A. put on        B. wear      C. clothes     D. dress

Is \"D\" a right answer? We know \"be dressed in\" not \"dress in\". Why is it?

Thanks, lucy12345678, acxing
The answer is "D". "dress in" is not often used, though. Right?

I think it's frequently used in English, because it's the first meaning of "dress" in Longman dictionary

要知道朗文词典的词义排列是以使用频率安排先后的。既然出现在第一个词义中,那么应该是经常使用的。
