RECENTLY, some Chinese bars decided to provide guests with an outlet to release the pressure and strain of modern life.
The customers - usually stressed-out young people wanting to vent their emotion- can beat up on staff, smash glasses, or shout and scream their lungs out. For a price of course.
One anger-release bar in Nanjing, for example, hired 20 well-built men in their 20s and 30s as its hit squad. The customer could decide what role he or she wanted the \"models\" to play.
They're fully supplied with protective gear and the bar charges anywhere from 50 to 300 yuan for the service, depending on the demand. Japan is also reported to have similar bars for stressed-out business people.
But public opinion here is divided. Some people say that because of today's pressure-ridden society, many feel the need for a way to release their anger.
Others say that this form of anger management is violent and should be banned.
What's your opinion? Should we encourage this kind of service? |
