通过文中解释或举例推断词义

在有些文章当中，某些生词的词义在下文中得到了解释或说明，这种解释或说明有时以定语从句形式出现，有时用破折号等符号引出，有时以or，that iS，that iS to say，in other words等词语引出；还有些文章下文所列举的例子给读者提供了猜测生词的重要线索。例如：
1 His answer to the Simple question was ambiguous一一not clear． 从破折号我们可得到启示， 划线生词ambiguous的意义与not Clear相同，即“不清楚的，模棱两可的”。
