A BBC documentary I watched earlier today named the Reborn Atlantis records the debate between a radical author, together with his millions of readers, and the mainstream archaeologists, geologists, and historians, etc., over a controversial claim of the author that human civilization might have been developed from a single source, for instance, as the author pointed out, a lost civilization like the mysterious Atlantis.
    The author believes that the existence of a civilization of high sophistication before human history is incontrovertibly probable, providing various pieces of evidence to prove such hypothesis, most of which are related to astronomy which seems to be the basis of the author’s theory. He found that buildings of many seemingly unrelated places of the globe bear astonishing resemblance respectively with the shape of different constellations at a certain year 10, 500 BC. This year, the author says, might be the one when an astronomical chart of the conceivable constellations was drawn back in the ancient civilization. And it is by this chart that the survivors of the disaster, which destroyed the prehuman civilization, lead the human, then undeveloped, to have constructed these buildings in the shapes of constellations in order to commemorate the ruined world. If all the evidence given by the author had been acknowledged by the global scientific circle, all the historians might have been engaged in rewriting the history of the entire human evolution, while the truth is disappointingly that all the evidence has clearly been proven groundless by scientific means. Orthodox scientists protest that the resemblance between manmade buildings and constellations is coincidental and also manmade.
    Although the unorthodox theory of the radical author, who either is a historian, or an astronomer, or a geologist of any kind, has been denied for being imaginary, his books carrying his imaginations have been traveling all around the globe, sold by hundreds of millions, convincing more and more, which speaks for itself that the developed human being is eager to uncover the secrets of itself, and the secrets are to supposed be different from the revealed version.
