USE OF PC-NSAIDS IN CHRONIC PAIN
Dr. Lenard M. Lichtenberger and Dr. Shiqiang Tian from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston got $1,789,202 support from Department of Defense in US. Their researches showed that a new class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that are associated with phosphatidylcholine (PC) have higher efficacy in the treatment and/or prevention of chronic neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury (SCI). In SCI victims, the gastrointestinal complications like GI bleeding, gastric ulcer and perforation are more easily to be induced by NSAIDs. Using NSAIDs-PC the complicated can be reduced and avoided. |
