to have join/joined

Hi - would like to know if the following sentence is grammatically correct?

What author would you like to have join you for a holiday meal?

I learned it from Thomas of the form with \"ed\" months ago,
My question is on the word \"join\", now it does not go with \"ed\", wonder if it's wrong? (guess not, saw two such sentences in a day!!)
