不过平常口语中。

it's terrible, 这实在是太糟糕了。。

it's terrific. 真是（想不到的）不错啊。

好像是完全相反的两个意思

从上可以看出这两个单词的含义是完全不同的。

事实上， terrific 确实和terrible一样，有非常糟糕，令人恐惧的意思，这应该是它的本意，而其他的，是引申，派生出来的词义。这就是说，不能说terrific和terrible的词义完全不同。

当然，在英语使用的过程中，不断的词义变化，terrific更倾向于被解释成“极度的，非常的”或者是“巨大的”，而在不同语境被赋予不同含义罢了。当然口语中多半在形容非常好的时候用的比较多，“非常不错”就成了它主流的词义了。
