Beijing Olympics organizers on April 26announced an ambitiousplan for thetorch relay for the 2008Gameswhich will see the sacred flame reach the world's highest peak and travel through 135citiesaround theworld.
4月26日，北京奥组委宣布了2008年奥运会火炬传递的蓝图，奥运火炬将登顶世界最高峰，并在全球135个城市传递。
According to the planned route，which was unveiled by LuoGan，member oftheStanding Committee of the Political Bureau ofthe Central Committee of the Communist Party of China，and IOC President Jacques Rogge at a ceremony held at the Millennium Monument in downtown Beijing，the relay will cover 137，000kilo－meters in 130daysbefore the flame finally arrives at the National Stadium in Beijing on August 8，2008，involving a total of21，780torchbearers.As with all Olympics，next year's relay will begin in Greece，go to Beijing，and then wind across Asia，Europe，the Americas，Africaand then back to Asia and China before the torch ignitesthecauldron atthe opening ceremony on August 8， 2008， in Beijing's 91，000－seatNational Stadium.
