  Nov. 4, 2004  Thursday

In the morning, I got up as early as usual. After doing some washing and dressing up, I turned on the computer to browse the news to sense what was happening  to the world. The headline from VOA was that the incumbent president---- Geoge W. Bush had won re-election as his opponent Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry called him and conceded defeat earlier on Wednesday.
US President Bush claimed a re-election mandate Wednesday after a record 59 million Americans chose him over Democrat John Kerry and voted to expand Republican control of Congress as well. He pledged to pursue his agenda on taxes and Iraq while seeking \"the broad support of all Americans.\"

This election let me think a lot. As many analysist predicted that the crucial point for Bush to win the compaign was the anti-terrorism war. After 9.11, all the Americans have never thought that their country was as safe as before. People cast their polls to Bush to wish him to take strong measures to continue the anti-terrorism war to seek the safety in surface and in deep heart. Whether Bush's re-election will cure the hurt of Americans is still a considerable question. American government continuously upgraded their safety levels for fear that America be attacked by terriost organization again. But this kind of upgradation on the one hand, make the mass aware of the latent danger, on the other hand , make all the mass be all nerves. If this conditions continues, the Americans would be relaxed one day once another attack really happened. The White House had realized this point, but they still couldn't find a better way to solve this problem at present.

This made US anti-terrorism war in Iraq ridiculous, it couldn't make its own people safe, but its political brainpowers rack their  brains to look for superficially resonable reasons to convince their people of the justice of the Iraq war and let the people realize  the inevitability of the war.  So, even if there were a great number of American soldiers died in Iraq now, the government had preached the grandness and glory of dying for the country, and Ameican people could accept the facts whether cruel or heart-struck. The people has become sackless.

By virtue of what made Bush re-elected? I couldn't answer this question, and the key point was it was unnecessary for me to think this question over, since Americans had made their own decisions. In their heart, they maybe well knew the exact answers, whether right or wrong.

PS: I tried using a blog mind to write something perhaps nonsense to many people, but I had declared this was only an attempt.haha~~~~~~~~`
