There are some words I want to explain to you. These are words you could die if you don’t know the meanings. You will be shot in USA if you don’t know these words. A Japanese student died when his neighbor shot him because he didn’t know the word ‘freeze’.

Okay. These are the words.

1. Freeze!
2. Spread them!
3. Do you bang?
4. Are you in?

1  Freeze  (it means ‘Do not move or you are dead.’ )(even though you know the word ‘freeze’, it doesn’t mean u are safe. When people say ‘freeze’, it sounds like ‘free’. Because it is hard to read ‘ze’ in the word ‘freeze’. The sound ‘ze’ in the word ‘freeze’ is very low. You hardly hear it. So if u hear ‘free’, don’t think you can move. That may be the word ‘freeze’, so don’t move.)

2  Spread them!  (it means ‘Raise your hands and spread your legs.’ )

3  Do you bang?  (it means ‘Are you a gang member?’, ‘Are you a gangster?’ )

4 Are you in? (it means ‘Are you a member of any criminal organizations?’ )

______________________________________________________________

Besides the word ‘freeze’, there are still other words which ask u not to move.

Stop! Don’t move! Don’t move a muscle!

Halt! Hold it! (‘halt’ means ‘stop’ . )

Hands up! Hands in the air!

Stick’em up! Reach for the sky!  (‘stick’em up’ means ‘stick hands up’ . ‘em’ means hands )

Hands in front of you!

Keep your hands out of your pockets!

Lie on the ground/floor! Out flat! (out flat = lie down flat on the floor, usually with your face down .)

Stay where you are!

______________________________________________________________

Pull over!

(It means ‘Stop the vehicle u are driving at the side of the road.’)
(If someone asks you to pull over, while you are driving a car, it means they want you to stop the car.)

_______________________________________________________________

(1) What time do you have?
(2) Have you got the time? / Do you have the time?

(They don’t ask if you have the time to go shopping . They ask what is the time now. If you answer ‘Yes, I am free.’, that sounds funny. You should say, ‘It is ten forty-five a.m.’(It is 10:45 a.m.)

(1) What time do you have?
(2) Have you got the time? / Do you have the time?

mean

= What time is it?
= What is the time?

Tittle: I don’t know.

When you don’t know about something, you can say, ‘I don’t know.’ There are also a lot of sentences you can say. These sentences are very popular in English speaking countries.

You can learn the sentences below. So that you can understand what they mean if you hear a white man say them one day. They are all very popular sentences, which mean ‘I don’t know.’

THE SENTENCES BELOW ALL MEAN ‘I DON’T KNOW.’:

The sentences here always confuse us. (They mean “I don’t know.”)
(1) Search me.
(2) Beats me.
(3) Now there you have me.(British) / You got me there.(USA)
(4) You got me on that one.

The sentences below are easier to understand. (They mean “I don’t know.”)

(5) I don’t have a clue.
(6) I have no idea. / No idea.
(7) Not that I know of.

_______________________________________________________________

If a white person asks you to LEAVE in a RUDE way, they would say the sentences below . We should try not to say these words. But we have to learn these words, so that we can understand what they mean.

Piss off
Fuck off
Bite me (they don’t ask you to bite them, they ask you to go away in a rude way.)

_______________________________________________________________

When a white person is ANNOYED, he would say,

‘Beat it.’ (used to tell someone to leave at once because they are annoying you or should not be there .)
‘Fuck it.’ (used to emphasize that you are annoyed or angry at someone or something.)

_______________________________________________________________

If a white person talks to you, he might ask you the sentences below. So you should understand what they mean.

What are you up to? = What do you plan to do?
What have you been up to? = What have you been doing recently?

_____________________________________________________________

When you ask someone to repeat what he has said, you can say:

(1) Sorry.
(2) Run that by me again. / (For example, Run that name and address by again.)
