Greenhouse effect
The Earth's atmosphere is made up of a blanket of gases, which trap enough heat to sustain life. However, this function of atmosphere caused the 'greenhouse effect'.
These years, fossil fuels are burned faster and faster to produce more heat or power which pumped billions of tones of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. At the same time, humans cut down quantities of forest which are natural 'carbon sinks', they can absorb cardon dioxide. Therefore more carbon dioxide are stored in the atmosphere causing more heat to become trapped.
More heat are generated and more heat are trapped. As a result, the global temperature is increasing, throwing the world's climate out of balance.
