Governments should focus more on solving the immediate problems of today rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future
As human society becomes more and more complex with the advancement of science and technology, our immediate existence also becomes increasingly complex in a sense. Not only have we got problems which are of great urgency, but we also have problems which might happen in the future. We must look closely at all the problems and solve them in relation to its urgency as well as to its own nature. Only have we struck a balance between the present and the future can we achieve efficiency in managing public affairs and stand ready to seize the opportunity to make life easier and more enjoyable.
Today’s world is, as always, full of problems. Problems crop up everyday though our capacity to solve them has been greatly enhanced. Some problems are urgent and therefore should be paid due attention. Take the example of China’s reform. The original system has been in disarray for some time, which has considerably hindered the economic development of our country and also laid waste to social order. If it remained unchanged, the cause of socialism could be threatened and people’s life could not be improved. The great leader Den Xiaoping brought about the reform and opening up, which ushered in a great era of development, change and progress.
Another benefit of solving today’s problems lies in the possibility that it helps solve problems that might have harmful effects in the future. For a long time, the issue of environmental deterioration has been attracting people’s attention. And it has had some effects on people’s lives. Fortunately, our society has been aware of its seriousness. As the issue is of global dimension, the international community has been striking out for a solution. The result of making these earnest efforts today is that it prevents disastrous consequences from happening. If we could spend more time and energy protecting the environment, our future existence would become friendlily to and livable for us human beings. And we will not have been over burdened with environment problems by then. And to solve environment problems in the future will become much remarkably easier for us.
At the same time, we must look forward to future problems and envision the world that will be the living place of our posterity. To prepare them for future challenges, we must have an education system in place which can meet future requirements. Therefore it is of great significance for us to ask: have we done our best to reform the system which can function as expected? Does the children’s educational experience help them to solve problems coming their way? If we could not do it properly, the prospect of a generation well educated to have their mission fulfilled could become bleak. But it is in their hands that the great cause of human exploration should be pushed further forward.
Therefore, it is not erroneous that we should be devoted to solving problems of today. For people’s livelihood should be improved as huge investment has been made to meet the growing needs of the people. Meanwhile we should do serious thinking in connection with problems that might have some impact on our future and stupendous efforts must be made to solve them in order to make the future world a better place to live.

As human society becomes more and more complex with the advancement of science and technology, our immediate existence, in a sense, also turns increasingly complicated. Not only have we given problems which are of great urgency, but we also encounter paradoxes which possibly take place in the future. We must examine all the problems and see to them in relation to its urgency as well as to its own nature. Only have we struck a balance between the present and the future can we achieve efficiency in managing public affairs and stand ready to seize the opportunity to make life easier and more enjoyable.
Today’s world is, as always, filled with paradoxes and dilemmas. Problems crop up everyday though our capability to tackle them has been greatly enhanced. Some problems are quite urgent and therefore should be dealt with due attention. Take the example of China’s reform. The original system has been kept in disarray for a long time, which has considerably hindered the economic development of our country and also laid waste to social order. Such situation, if left unattended, would threaten the great cause of socialism and influence people’s normal life. However, Den Xiaoping, our great leader, brought about the reform and opening up policy, which has been ushering in a great era of development, progress and prosperity.
Another outcome of coping with the present problems lies in the possibility that it helps solve problems that may result in negative consequences in the future. Long before, the environment issue has touched off worldwide concern and exerted detrimental effects on people’s lives. Fortunately, governments have not yet turned a blind eye to this phenomenon. As the issue is of global dimension, the international community has joined hands to strike out for a right solution, the productive result of which is that it provides against disastrous consequences. If governments worldwide could attach more importance to the environmental protection and thoroughly implement the strategy as schemed, our future existence would grow sustainable and thus conducive to human beings. Consequently, we will not have been over burdened with environment problems by then. In return, to solve the environment issues in the future will become remarkably easier than before.
At the same time, we must look forward to future problems and foresee the world that will be the ideal place for our posterity. To prepare them ready for future inevitable challenges, the government must develop an education system geared to future requirements. Therefore it is of great significance for us to ask: have we done our best to reform the system which can function as expected? Does the children’s educational experience facilitate them to solve problems coming their way? If these issues are not properly addressed, the prospect of the well educated generation to have their mission fulfilled could become rather bleak. Yet it is in their hands that the great cause of human exploration should be further pushed forward.
Therefore, it is incumbent upon the government to apply themselves to settle the perplexing problems of world today. For people’s livelihood should be improved as huge investment has been made to meet the growing needs of the people. Meanwhile we should conduct serious thinking in connection with problems that might define our future and exert ourselves to overcome them in order to make the future world a better place to live in.
