伊朗总统称国际激励计划为向前迈进的一步 (Iranian President Calls International Nuclear Incentives a Step Forward)

伊朗总统欢迎国际间为换取伊朗中止浓缩铀项目并且回到谈判桌来所提出的一揽子激励方案。伊朗总统艾哈迈迪内贾德星期五在中国上海对记者说，这一激励计划是向前迈进的一步，伊朗将慎重考虑。他说， 他将从伊朗的国际利益出发，适时做出回应。

一揽子激励方案由美国、俄罗斯、英国、法国和中国5个联合国安理会的常任理事国以及德国联合提出。艾哈迈迪内贾德正以观察员身份参加在上海举行的上海合作组织的首脑会议。

在布鲁塞尔举行会议的欧盟各国领导人呼吁伊朗迅速对激励方案做出正面回应。在一份首脑会议的宣言草案里，各国领导人说，任何对这一问题的解决在肯定伊朗和平使用核能权力的同时必须考虑到人们对伊朗核计划的担心。

Iran's president has welcomed an international incentives package offered in exchange for Tehran suspending uranium enrichment and returning to talks on its nuclear program. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told reporters in the Chinese city of Shanghai Friday that the offer is a step forward and Iran will carefully consider it. He said he will give a response in due time in line with his country's international interests.

The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council (the United States, Russia, Britain, France and China) plus Germany offered the incentives package. Mr. Ahmadinejad is attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit as an observer.

European Union leaders meeting in Brussels are calling on Iran to respond quickly and positively to the incentives offer. In a draft summit declaration, the leaders said any solution to the issue must address concerns about Iran's nuclear program while affirming Iran's right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
