I am first!

In my opinon, China is not afraid of America. The main factors are considered as follows:

Firstly, The current competition has transferred from military conflict to economic development. The military force is only the last choice to use in international world. Furthermore, the military equipment deponds on the economic power. Nowsdays, China has developed rapid and absorbed many advanced techique, so that Chinese military power should be good enough against American.

Secondly, The international comunication are enhanced day by day. Many American investment are applied to China.If some conflict takes place between the two sides, America must lose much. It is induced that America Government lose support from its citizens. Therefore, the kind relationship between China and America will maintain for a long time.

Last, Other countries also have much benifit in China and America. If the relation is worse, I think these negative effects will applied to the economy of individual countries. America cannot affort these cost and it had to take kind relationship with China. China and America will keep a peaceful talk currently and share the benefit from the international world.

New China just founded in 1949 beat the U.N. army headed by the USA in Korea 50 year ago. During the past several decades years, there is significant changes in economics, science and technology, militaries, and national power of the countries related to the Korea War, namely China, the USA, North Korea, and South Korea. In this case, does China nowadays fear the U.S.A? In my opinion, China did, does and will not fear the USA in the past, now and in the future, respectively.

In 1950s, new China founded in 1949 just had experienced the eight-year-Anti-Japan War, and three-year-Civil War. The economics had been greatly destroyed in the wars and full-scale construction in all aspects was under way. In contrast, the USA was not hit in the two world wars, and it made full use of the two world wars and fatten on the vendition of weapon instead. Then the USA is the strongest country all over the world.  In addition, China possessed the land forces with poor armed, and a very small quantity of air forces and navy. But the USA had land forces, navy and air forces all well armed. It is also noted that the USA has a capacity of made the atomic bomb.  In that circumstance, China was not afraid of the USA, and beat the USA.

Now china has gain rapid and great progress in economics, science and technology, and national power after 50 year of full-scale construction. China has ranked the 5th strongest economic country now. In addition, the PLA nowadays is made of land forces, navy, air forces and strategically missile force. The military officer and soldiers loved the motherland, has high military capacity, and are well armed. In the Korea War, China did not fear the USA. At the stage there is no reason that China nowadays is afraid of the USA.

In a word, China nowadays does not fear the USA, and China in the future will not fear the USA.

Is it any use being in fear of the super power like the United States? Obviously it is no use. In this case, we must rack our brains to figure out ways to deal with the United States. So on no grounds do we feel frightened in face of USA. The reasons are as follows:
  China is not what it used to be fifty years ago when we still won the battle with thousands of thousands of people's blood and lives during the contact with USA in the Kerean battlefield. Of course USA also was taught a lesson--- China, the oriental huge dragon, can not be easily be beaten or conquered. The Chinese people, though times and again it was subjected to being bullied and inhumiality, has never lost its spirits, that is, hitting back even in adverse situation, strong inertity in face of adversity. Now China finally has her voice in the world. All over the world can be seen the Chinese descedants and China town. Besides the Chinses production value is among the top of the countries. We are fully confident to pull through the war with USA with sufficient material and technological support.
  China has never become America's door keeper like a dog, behaving according to its master's likes and dislikes. We can still remember the plane collision with America's though we lost a brave and great pilot. Their plane was also forced to land in our land and finally disintegrated into parts. We still remember our humiliation in Yugoslavia and it also shows her courage facing the great power. Any way we should not forget the humiliation and someday Americans will be doomed.

i would rather not to say that china is afraid of united states or unisted states is afraid of china, as both the countries are among the most powerful countries of the world. also there is quite some dependence between them.

US has the strongest economy and military forces, and our country has the most population and also the economy is growing rather fast after the open policy affected. Many foreign company invest to china aiming at the low-cost labor and the biggest market, and china also produce huge amount of all kinds of products to export. there are very intense relations between china and US, and the rest of world as well. so there are very important dependence between the two countries, especially on economy aspect.

when talking about the power of these two nations, the Korean War in in 1950s is always mentioned. in the very difficult conditions, china succefully prevented the united nation army which was  lead by US from occupying north korea. that is the first time the amercians are defeated, and it let the new founded PRC be recogonized by the whole world.

at present, US has been keeping its world`s NO 1 nation, our nation are steping fast forward. although the influnce of our nation on the world could still not be compared with US, but it is always a worry for US. and i hope one day we could catch up and even supersede US...

  China has never been scared by any powerful countries, such as the United States. Even in the very beginning of the construction of P.R.C, China had defeated its army and frustrated its attempt of invasion. A newborn China had showed the world her courage and image, so a rapid developing China, who has more and more influence on the world politics and economy, will never be frightened by US.

   However, just as Mr. Mao had said, we should take an attitude that to disdain it in the sense of stratagem while taking it seriously in the aspect of specific tactics. On the one hand, we could say, without any hesitation, we have enough courage to face any country who wants to be enemy of China. On the other hand, we Chinese people should work hard to make our country more and more powerful, which is the best way to prepare for any possible change. We should be bear in mind the GDP of US have kept almost ten times ours in the past years. It is the most powerful country in this world and no other single country could compete with it.

   Furthermore, we say we are not afraid on the basis of our passion for our motherland and the traditional spirit of devoting ourselves, even our lives whenever needed. Someone may cite the past war against US. As a matter of fact, America will never fight against any large country, such as China. Instead of using military force, it uses other approaches. And this is what we should be careful in the inner heart and never neglect. We won’t forget it defeated the former Soviet Union without a single bullet.

   In conclusion, we will never afraid while we never neglect.

At that time, new China just just set up, the economic , military disparity between China and the United States is constant today , but is the continent afraid? Not not only afraid but also let Americans lose a war in the world for the first time; Watching the Vietnamese war again, that is the second war that an American loses in the world. Only Chinese talents make it in such a heroic undertaking! Mao Zedong has analysed for a long time , a main one of factor which decides the war win and defeat is not an advanced weapon, and lie in whether the justice of the war lies in the person who participates in the war or not. History can be reflected: Are there reasons that are afraid at the continent?
What is the continent afraid now? The one that I'm afraid is the opportunity of losing development, the war influence the goal emerging in peace together. Unless it is absolutely necessary , must not enable sinking into the war two times .
The present problem lies in , whether inside pressure or the external force can contain the emergence of China . New China has a lot of friends in its perimeter. Why does not have? The consumer market which China is increasing constantly and its enormous appetite to the products of the world, make foreign corporation and employee make much money, from pasture in Latin America to the vineyard of France. In U.S.A., the good and cheap products like the Chinese tidewater, Lian Nian has improved the American's living standard.

The depending on lasting its powerful export prosperous and strongly of China, this makes U.S.A. become the lever that China made the policy. But at the lever end, the function of U.S.A. is limited. In 1997, Washington can still prevent China from entering World Trade Organization , but China has already been a member of World Trade Organization now; U.S.A. has prevented China from hosting the Olympic Games too, but the Beijing Olympics in 2008 has been nowadays already in preparing . The scholar of Tsing-Hua University of China says , it has been already not so important to China's national benefit in U.S.A. now. Those persons who suspect this kind of statement should notice , since the 16th National Congress , Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee has visited 36 times , visited 77 countries, visiting America only one time, that is Premier Wen Jiabao's American trip in 2003. Though two countries' political culture is as far apart as heaven and earth, in a lot of fields, the thing that two countries seek is unanimous basically.

It has been over 50 years since China won the Korean war against US.  The whole world has made many significant historical changes over the past half century.  Especially China as everone knows, has made great development in many aspects including its economical, political and military power.  

Anyone can remember that in 1950's, the new China was just released from civil war,  and at that time when Chinese Army were forced to be involved in Korean War to defend our country,  the military force power of China was absolute not comparable with US arm forces.  But the fact is: China won the war, truely not because of powerful weapons.

There is no reason now to be scared of any military threat from any nation.  

From all the wars happened in the past history of our human being,  you will found many used to have super powerful forces, but in the end they still lost the war. This tells us the truth of a war,  that is: the final victotry belongs to who has the foundation of support, not the weapons.  This not only what we learned from history, but also other nation learned as well.  If you look the US-Iraq war for instance,  US would try to establish any posible outside international support before they proceed any military actions.
They become are smarter now than what they were in Korean War.

The major two wars that American lost were Korean War and Vietnam War. It is the best education lesson for new generartion American. Do you think they dare to try excercise military threat against China?  I don't think so.  Because they are not prepared from their hearts.

I would like to say that China and the United States dreads each other to a certain extent now.  Why should I say that? On one hand, the United States is the only superpower in the world now. It has the extremely advanced technical level and the economic potentiality. The army of the United States is the most formidable power in the world. Every tiny action of the country in the field of economy will greatly influence the world economic balance. On the other hand, the power of China grows up unceasingly over time, we have our own nuclear weapon shortly after new China come into existence in 1949. Now our country has huge influence to local situation in Asia and also influences the whole world. So the two great countries are launching the actively interlocution and cooperation in the most time. Somebody often refer to the war in Korea in the 1950’s. They think we PLA won the war. I don’t think so. Remember we have paid the soaring price during the war and the war came to an end because of the antiwar agitation in the United States. Surely we Chinese are not the same as at that time. We have modernized our army in recent 30 years. The economy strength of our country are becoming more powerful. As time goes by our country will get more and stronger. We will be fearless!

New China,founded in 1949, defeated the UN army headed by the USA in north Korea 50 year ago and since then the relationship between china and the USA has always been the focus of attention all around world. After more than 20 years high-speed developments in economic, military, S&T,  China is growing to be one of the most powerful country of the world.  Despite there is still an enormous gap remains between china and the USA. the USA has considered China as a major strategic enemy in all respects. when asked about the question "does china fear of the USA now?" i would say, no!  reasons are as follows:
firstly, China is not afraid of the USA from the military perspective. Although the USA is still  the most powful country in military, China is one of the five country possess nuclear weapons, which means that if the USA is unable to destroy all nuclear launch equipments within a very short time, nuclear missle attacks from china will arrive the USA at a glimpse. it is immediately apparent that the USA cannot afford the risk for neither side will gained in the war. Furthermore, the USA is now being haunted by the terroists from middle east, which makes me  really happy. it is paying for its arrogance and harshness interfere in interior affair of other country.
secondly, the rapid developments in communication services  have turned the big world into a small village. All the countries are sharing the trade, finacial risks of the world and are united together to protect the peace and stability. no country will benefit from a war.
Finally, chinese people will never fear of any hegemony. this has been proved by eight-year-Anti-Japan War and two-year Korea war. with poor weapons and detection equipments, china finally beat the well-armed empire forces out of china and korea.
All in all, China does not fear the USA now or in the future.

I believed that, measures each aspect, the American does not dare with the Chinese to go to war.
　  I believed that, American must go to war nothing but following several kind of possibilities:
　　1, other country carries on the protracted war, but own gain the benefit. If first world war time, America sold the advanced weapon through the war to earn the massive wealth. But if China really must use the military force to solve the Taiwan problem, also is the neatly and quickly matter, US does not have ships to fight with enough time the, the war ended. US can not but reconsider at the appointed time whether goes to war.　
   2, the war can involve directly to oneself benefit. Taiwan nothing but diverts China in the American eye, but interferes the Chinese internal affairs a tool. On the military, the economy, the internal affairs all cannot have affect too greatly. On the contrary, once the American annoyed the Chinese the wool, President Hu said “Union nation, consistent anti-America!” Young Bush that at the beginning of comes president who said for the first time to think had to cry three days.
　　3, some pile of quick expired munitions urgent need processing. This already was American's old pattern, in recent years with American related war mostly so. Does china fear U.S.A?NEVER.
We have a history of more than 5000 years.we are the unique nation that has a continuous heritage, without stoppage,which has proved our strong vitality.what about american?only hundres of years!it's just a newborn baby.it'll take time to see its growing up.
Have you heard that a bear-footed man fears a shoed man?never.so we Chinese people never fear American.we have suffered too much enough,and we have lived out all the hardness and difficulties.we are developing.we have nothing to lose and nothing to be afraid of .what a about america?it's now the unique super pole of the world and it hopes that the situation will last for ever.and china.with a prosperous prospect and fast development,has unwishfully become the prime supposed enemy of U.S.A,at least of some statesmen of U.S.A.So the americans are fearing that someday we'll surpass them and take their place.while at the same time,many american citizens are using chinese products and many ameican companies are depending on the chinese labor and market to make a big money.so we never have to watch for economic oppression from U.S.A.

    In my opinion China is afraid of U.S.A.,except China's economy overtake U.S.A.
    Although China was defeated U.S.A. in pass,.that time the military technology is very lagging,China was defeated The United States because China have a lot of people, but, military disparity between China and The United States is constant today,the war never gain success to depend on a lot of people,now the war demand the best technology, technology is important to gain victory in the war, The United States have the best technology in military all over the world.so it is not only to afraid of The United States for China,but also afraid of The United States for a lot of country in the world.
    The best technology in military bring economy developing in modern society,so The United States’s economy become more and more strongly, at the same time,a lot of country in the world were infflunced in The United States’s economy developing. The United States’s economy decide developing nation’s economy,such an China,and so on.for example,export have influence, this is one of lever that The United States control China in policy.
    But,China become more and more strongly to not only in military but also economy all over the world. I want to say that our country is not afraid of the United States of America,it is also every chinese want.but are  we really stronger than U.S.A?Are we able to argue with U.S.A in every field?The answer is not.We are afraid of U.S.A a little.We are still a developing country and were dropped behind by U.S.A in economy,military affairs and polity.and that is why we still can not get TaiWan back to mother`s embrace.
  we won the Korean War before fifty years ago.but we paid much sacrifice than U.S.A.In american opinion,they do not think they were defeated in the Korean War.They  think they can not win the war only.A lot of chinese died in the Korean War.let us remember the heros for ever.Today I have meet a cripple in the hospital who come back from the Korean War,which made me feel sad and hate the war.
   In the new situation,we are still weak in economy,military affairs and polity compared with U.S.A. Although our country developed very fast in all field in recent years,and the emotion to fear American become weaker than before.but we have many problem to solve including environment pollution and energy sources.we must work hard to catch up the with U.S.A.

This is an interesting topic. Whether China is afraid of U.S? It is hard to answer this question without seriously consider the current situations of China and U.S in economic, military and politics.

First of all, China is becoming the third largest economical entity in the world, flowing to the U.S and Germany. Therefore, as far as the economic ability is concerned, China is not as strong as U.S. U. S. is with no doubt the biggest and the strongest economic nation in the world. SO china would be afraid of U.S. if only the economic ability is concerned.

Second. China has the largest population in the world. If the number of population is the only consideration, I don’t think there is any reasons for china to be afraid of U.S. China has not only the biggest population in the world, but the strongest land military force in the world. But it need to mention that the education level of Chinese population is far less than that of the U.S. Maybe in the future, more Chinese would receive higher education. But its population of properly educated will never beat that of the U.S.

China may be afraid of U.S. in political point of view, because U.S. is the strongest nation in politic influence. U.S. can affect even most of nations not only in politics and economic. Therefore, if only the politic influence power is the only consideration, china will be afraid of U.S. SO I think, in the future, China might be afraid of US.

I want to say that China didn't defeat U.S.A and its allies, because of the reason for the reality that there are two countries there, Korea and South Korea. The suitable expression should be: it was a compromise between the two sides. Therefore, there was no winner in that war. We can say we were winner because we were poor and the weapon was poor, and the U.S.A was loser, because it didn't defeat us. But that doesn't mean U.S.A was a loser, because China didn't chase U.S.A out of Korea acturally. There is not necessary to stress the win in order to strengthen ours confidence.

Korea war shew the value what should human chose avoiding the more destruction, especially when the states involed in the war were for the interests instead of prevent their interests from being taken away. It was the process for adding the interests, not for losing the interests. Therefore, there must be a balance point there, and the endurable adventure scope for them. The result of Korea war just reflected that it was acceptable for both sides, and any futher war will hurt the interests of both sides.

We cannot say that China fear U.S.A, or U.S.A, it worth nothing to boast or fear. It is clear that the balance point of the interests is the key for the conflict between China and U.S.A. When we talk about interests, it would be understand why China bought so many American airplane, instead of the airbus from EU even though U.S restrain the high-tech export to China, it is the strategy for taking the american economy into China market and forms a inter-dependence. And U.S.A shows it flexiblity sometimes to China in order to keep the space for negotiation or compromise with China.

For the War, the neclear weapon may be only fatal threat to U.S.A, even though the amount of that can only destroy the earth one time, but that is enough, because we only have one globe. U.S.A pursue it value as well as its econormic interests, and sometimes, it mixes them together, therefere, it cannot pursuade China or others to believe what it says, because sometimes it seems a lie, even though it is true in the logic, but how can others believe the logic from the state who doesn't follow that logic? that shows the value conflicts face the difficulty on the logic and the reality.

There are many trouble between China and U.S.A, it is a process to understanding and to adjustmment. The good aspect is that the two countries can talk with each other frankly, which will help understand the real intention of each other, which will help to avoid the danger and the stand they hold. There would be no difference when the two countries who own the fatal weapon in hands on who can kill the whole nation or who can kill the half. when that happen, the chin reaction will happen and may destroy the whole world.

what I would say that really enemy is not from the earth, but from the nature. the flood, earthquake, the storm...... and the worsen climate. Human may understand in the end that they are really stupid when they find that there is no place suitable to live, and the fearness will be full of their heart, instead of the satisfaction of winning.
