Rebels from Sudan's Darfur region are insisting on changes to a draft peace agreement the Sudanese government has said it will sign.
Spokesmen for the two rebel groups renewed their demands today (Monday) as peace talks continued in Abuja, Nigeria.
The African Union extended the talks by 48 hours after the rebels and government failed to reach agreement by a Sunday deadline. The United States had urged the AU to extend the deadline to try to finalize a deal after two years of talks.
