伊朗总统称对安理会决议不屑一顾 (Iranian President Does Not \"Give a Damn\" About Security Council Resolutions)

国际原子能机构说伊朗没有在最后期限之前满足联合国安理会要其中止浓缩铀活动的要求。国际原子能机构在星期五向联合国安理会提交的报告中做出以上评估。

美国驻联合国大使博尔顿星期四说，美国谋求一项要求伊朗停止浓缩铀活动的具有法律约束力的决议。这样的决议将为可能对伊朗进行的惩罚铺平道路，并为将来可能采取军事行动打开大门。但是在安理会拥有否决权的中国和俄罗斯反对制裁伊朗。

尽管面临国际压力，但是伊朗坚决坚持其核计划的立场，说这个项目是为了和平目的。美国指称德黑兰谋求得到核武器。

媒体援引伊朗总统艾哈迈迪内贾德的话说，伊朗对安理会的决议根本就不屑一顾。


The International Atomic Energy Agency says Iran has failed to meet a United Nations Security Council deadline for suspending uranium enrichment. That assessment came in an I.A.E.A. report delivered to the U.N. Security Council Friday.

On Thursday, U.S. Ambassador John Bolton said the United States is seeking a legally binding U.N. resolution to demand that Iran halt the enrichment. Such a resolution would clear the way for possible penalties against Iran, and would leave the door open to possible future military action. But China and Russia, who have veto power in the Security Council, oppose sanctions against Iran.

Despite the international pressure, Iran remains defiant about its nuclear program, which it says is for peaceful purposes. The United States accuses Tehran of seeking nuclear weapons.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying Iran does not \"give a damn\" about Security Council resolutions.
