Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.

The post looking for smiles is here not because there are too many smiles, on the contrary, just because there are too few so-called happy things or happy moments. Happiness, in fact, exists everywhere if you would like to look for, to find, to accept …. Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone. Don’t you think so?

Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.

—When you are happy and cheerful you find plenty of companions to share your joy, but when you are in sorrow none of your companions wish to share your unhappiness and you have to bear it alone.

Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.

“Laugh and the world laughs with you,
  Weep and you weep alone,
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
But has trouble enough of its own。

Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.

Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.
= If you laugh, the world laughs with you; If you weep, you weep alone.

Follow love and it will flee thee; flee love and it will follow thee.

[注] thee = you(宾格)

Thank brianleeeee
What you said is sure reasonable.

Take this sentence as an example.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Laugh,%20and%20the%20world%20laughs%20with%20you%3B%20weep,%20and%20you%20weep%20alone

Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone

People prefer cheerfulness in others. A person who is cheerful will have company, but someone who is gloomy will often be alone. Ella Wheeler Wilcox, a poet of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, is the author of this saying.

From this point, maybe we have new water for the old bottle, maybe my lines are misleading

Welcom joining in discussion, only try to learn from our daily speaking and writing.
