maybe this was directly taken from a book with the same name.
in oxford advanced learner's english-chinese dictionary, combtat, as a verb, means to stop sth unpleasant or harmful from happening or from getting worse, as well as another meaning to fight against an enemy. I think resonance use the second meaning. It's OK to use the first meaning in combat Chinglish, that maybe mean Chinglish is unpleasant or can't be understand by foreigners. |
