      My English Study and My Future
   Now a day, English has been a very important language. Although I began to learn it at junior high school, and it has been much than ten years since then. When I went to college, I realized that English is a very important language, and I spend much time to learn it. In not a long time, my English has a great improvement, I passed CET-4 and  CET-6 when I was a sophomore. There was not other English examination for us and I didn't want to be a graduate student or went abroad, although I still continued to learn English in the later two years, in fact my ability of English was becoming dropping.
   After several years, I attended the ENGLISH ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR MASTER CANDIDATES for the need of job, I  passed the examination and turned to be a graduate student. The frist year in my master's study career, I lived in the university town, my teacher lived in the city, the chance of meeting was too much, I speeded a comparatively easy year. In the second years, I started my master's thesis. My teacher told me that the papers I read should be English, not to read the chinese papers. He said, In our study domain, the  foreign is much better than us, we shoud learn from them. So I lookup a lot of English papers and dissertations. It is very difficult to read so much English paper, there is some problems that I can't understand even if it is writed in chinese, it goes without saying being writed in English. After a period of time, although my writing ability is still poor, my ability of reading english has a biggish improvement.
   In the future, I will continue to read these english papers. I belive that I can get the latest  and useful informationfrom them, and it would do good to my study. Besides reading papers, I also watch TV and see movies, so that I can improve my oral English. In my mind, learn english is not to work for the foreign, but make use of the  foreign's strongpoint serves for me. I belive I can do it.

Teaching English as a Part of Life
Having taught college English for nearly ten years, I am quite familiar with English. I teach English every day, speak English every day and use English every day. Sometimes I even worry for English. In my university, teacher’s teaching ability is strongly highlighted. Every semester students are required to score their teacher’s classroom teaching performance, which exerts some pressure on us. The scoring results will not only affect a teacher’s year-end bonus but also determine the future of a teacher’s career. I have heard that an English teacher from Guangxi was snubbed by students and then got fired due to his poor teaching ability. So teachers, especially those who have a history of low scores, have to try all possible means to win the hearts of students, or worse, to simply please them. So some invite students to eat dinners, some prepare jokes or games in class to amuse students, others even directly flatter them by words or other means. If a teacher is neither good at teaching nor good at pleasing students, his job prospect would be quite bleak.
But it is a basic dialectical principle that everything has two sides. Students’ assessment is no exception. Positively speaking, it really makes every teacher spend more energy improving teaching. No teacher dares to neglect students’ needs and wishes and all teachers take teaching really seriously. Anyway, facing today’s fierce job market almost no teacher would thoughtlessly give up the hard-earned iron bowl. As for leaders in the department, they’re usually skillful and experienced in teaching, so they are understandably entitled to supervise other teachers’ teaching, especially those with ugly scores. If one day a leader suddenly come into your class and sit at the back row watching your performance, you needn’t be startled because it’s all natural that you lag behind in the assessment again. You should blame yourself and try out new ideas to improve. So teaching today is not as easy as ten or more years ago. Time has changed and we must keep up with the pace of social development.
In our department there are a few ways for teachers to cooperate in teaching, one of which is lesson plan meetings. If some teachers teach the same textbook, for each unit there will be a lesson plan meeting sponsored by one teacher who prepare teaching guidelines in advance, and during the meeting ( which lasts for about two hours ) other teachers give suggestions. I’ve found some woman teachers are considerably careful whose teaching designs can be as detailed as beyond my imagination. Personally I don’t think those meetings are very useful and I seldom draw on their things. I also find my colleagues do not know enough teaching theories. They always teach by intuition. But I have to admit some of them are really born teachers, whose amiable personality and high capability of emotions privilege them enormously.
I am tacit in nature, never show myself too much. Meanwhile I don’t have a good appearance. Although I teach diligently it always seems impossible for me to be a popular teacher, which worries me to some extent. Maybe I can say my English is good because I have a degree of M.A. in English and a title of associate professor and I also have published two books on English language and literature and dozens of articles. Still I don’t have much confidence in teaching. Students don’t enjoy my teaching very much, which I can figure from their eyes and words. It’s a shame to me that students tend to give me lower scores. In order to raise their interests in English learning, I sometimes introduce language games in class just like other teachers, but after several times they get bored. I also try to be as friendly as possible towards them, but in the depth of my heart I am strict so internal conflicts are frequently inevitable. I think I must let my scores rise, which will be good for both my job prospect and the effect of their study. Therefore I have tried to adjust my teaching style and be more careful in lesson plan. Things seem to improve, but not much.
I didn’t come to be conscious of my fatal problem in teaching until one day I came across a magazine essay in the library, which read: Teaching English as a part of life. This essay advocated the principle of integrating English teaching with a teacher’s daily life. The most important thing is that teachers should treat students as fully knowledgeable and emotional human beings instead of mere learning machines, and teachers should show full feelings in classroom, be more open-minded, more approachable and more communicative. Teachers should always bear in mind that students are not mature, what they need most is not mechanic instruction, but kind love. Suddenly I saw the light in the dark alley. Yes, I was too formal and rigid before students. Strictly speaking, I was only a pedant, not a qualified educator. If I want to be an excellent teacher, I should first change my ideology. The world has been changing forever. If we don’t follow the steps of our time, we will be deserted by it.
Maybe from that day on I have thought differently and taught differently, more importantly, I have no longer stood aloof from them but walked into their life, chatting with them, listening to their truest voices, therefore harmoniously keeping in touch with their tender and beautiful hearts. I hope in the near future my students will willingly tell me: sir, you deserve the honorable title of a good teacher.

The role of English for us in future

English is a important because this is the official language in most country around the word. It can give us more chances in either our career or oppertunities. Meet people who speaks english and community with them also can give us more knowledge about what's going on around the world and understand the culture of an english-speaking country. At last but not least, we can gain so many knowledge by read english books, or travel in an english-speaking country.
As the development of China and its entry to WTO, more and more foreigners come to China to visit or do businesses. Many of them are also interested in Chinese culture. The 2008 Beijing Olympics requires people to learn more English. As the information technology developes, the world has become smaller and could be called a global viliiage. So many reasons why English is important.
Moreover, English is important for job hunting. An English teacher said that people who cannot speak English would be at a disadvantage in future as China's entry to the World Trade Organization has stirred up fierce competition in the job market. "Even if you don't like English, you must be able to master it. Otherwise, you cannot work for foreign-invested companies and get a well-paid job," another teacher said pragmatically.
With China's opening up to the outside world and more foreigners coming into the country for business or pleasure, an increasing number of Chinese wish to speak English fluently and are transforming their learning-for-exam approach into learning-for-use. Now we have to do my best to learn it well and give us a better future.

I came to know this forum with recommendation of a friend who had already became crazy and addict to downloading books from Internet. She would open the computer upon opening her eyes in the early morning and start of SSReader downloading process, then the downloading would not be ended until the last minute she came to bed. Influenced by her passion towards such a great course of finding as much as you can, I joined. At first, I didn’t think necessary to download so many books a fun, to my opinion, it was either time-consuming, for I was a standard Internet-worm who would sit in front of the idiot box for hours without feeling tedious, or a big trouble to re-organize those downloaded books in an order to which yourself would accustomed. Most suffering thing is, you must reach a certain standard to access to books you want, I mean the channel “Let experts find books for you”. My inspiration encountered great frustration and I gave up any hope to stick to it, why should I choose such a forum with so unequal terms to stand up, and since you have numerous alternative forums to choose?
However, I return to it when I was in need of some books and realized it was not wise to give up efforts to access to the resources you really need. I’ve gone through uncountable exams, unexpectation, and troubles, why shouldn’t I go over such a obstacle? I began to find ways ant tips to increase my reputation scores, when you calm down and hold patience it’s not insurmountable to overcome the difficulty, I got 6 reputation scores, the minimum criterion to access to the channel I’m longing for within two months. That is to say, I’ve attained to the short-term goal. But only one month later, the forum released new rules that any member would access to the “expert finding books for you” channel without any limitation. Currently reputation score is not the most important thing but fortune prevails, which anyone need as a consideration for expert finding books for you. Now I’ve erected my long-term goal, to become expert someday who don’t need to appeal to somebody to find books you need and your friends need. Such skills, will not help myself for my work and life, but also skills to flatter among the circle of friends. I’m a person who would not give up chances to show off my “little cleverness” to my friends. Besides, you will become a person in need, in some cases, is badly needed. Such a feeling is good. I used to meet a kind-hearted guy whose ID Joy, he helped me to find a book I need, notified me through PM, when I found his up-downed books corrupted, he even kindly sent to me through QQ. Such a considerable guy! I expect to meet more of them in the forum!
But anyway, I would leave the forum any more. It’s a place where intelligent people gather around, a place you can find what you want as long as you hold your patience, a place innovative ideas are generated every day.

  Thanks the readfree, I have a chance to practice my English in this field. And I think that after a lot of practice, my English will improved quickly.
  Today I want to talk about my English and my future,. As everybody knowns that the English is very important,. The English is becoming moer and more important. First I want to tell you that my English was passed the exam of the country’s test six.I fell very happy, and I want to sduty the English in the future, and never foreget it,. The whole world is becoming small, everybody want to understand eachother must control English,the English is the biggest official language in the world. In the future, because I recganized the important of English, I want to study it in my whole life. First , I must hold large number of English words, they are the basic in the road of English world. Second , I want to practice my oral English . I plan to hear the bbc everyday , and if my family promise me to go abroad , I will say English very well.everybody has its advantage and disadcantage, I known my advantage very much,. I’m young and have lot of energy, why not my future will bright. And I like study English, it is my favorite ting in my life, I want to chat with my foreign friends, and study something in talking with them.
Oh , my English . you are my babay , I will take care of you for ever. Trust me.
