The topics will include different definitions of population in China (such as household registration population, permanent population, local residents and mobile population, and migration), data collection, data publications, past and future trends of populationdistribution and structures, applications (dependency, labor force, education, occupation, industry, income, urban and rural development, globalization, and sustainability), and how to integrate the population data with other data for China studies in time and space.

西方发表的很多数据，都是受政治影响的。

也不能认为西方的学者缺乏客观性，主要问题，那些客观的学者，往往受资助力度很小，影响也很小；而背后有充足经费资助的学者，都受政治势力所左右。
