目的：给五一，十一准备旅游得朋友一个参考，不旅游得朋友可以练习写作，不参加活动的朋友可以阅读。

要求：介绍自己所在地旅游景点，用英语介绍，尽量详细真实
    每个会员可以多次介绍不同本地景点（每个帖子只能介绍一个景点）
    同一地区得会员要注意不要和本地其他会员已经介绍过得景点相同（文字不同，景点却一样）
   可以上传图片来配合文章的表达力，但图片数量控制在5个以内/每个景点。附旅游景点路线图更 好！

Let me try to introduce to you the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, Henan Province

Longmen Grottoes
The most attractive place to go in Luoyang is the world-famous Longmen  Grottoes. Together with the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang and the Yungang Grottoes in Shanxi Province, Longmen Grottoes are reputed as the three greatest stone sculpture treasure houses in China. Located 12 km south of Luoyang, it has over 2,100 grottoes and niches, more than 40 dagobas, over 3,600 indcribed stone tablets, and over100,000 Buddhist images and statues.
  
The first carvings were done in 494 when Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) moved his capital to Luoyang. The construction of the grottoes lasted more than 400 years through several dynasties. The most spectacular grottoes are the Guyang Grottoes, Bingyang Grottoes, Lianhua (Lotus Flower) Grottoes and the Fengxian Temple.

In the year 2000, Longmen Grottoes was listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site.

The best time to visit Luoyang is spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November), when the climate is most agreeable. Furthermore, Luoyang Peony Fair is held in April every year, which has attracted tens and thousands of tourists. Therefore, it is strongly recommeded that you come here in April to enjoy both the poeny and the grottoes.  

The ticket to Longmen Grottoes is RMB 80 yuan. You can go there by taking No. 81 and No. 53 buses from the Railway Station. As the hotels near the scenic site are expensive and uncomfortable, you'd better stay in the city for the night.

Ancient Town of Phoenix
   I'm glad to introduce the ancient town of phoenix (Feng Huang Ancient City) to yo This ancient small town, according to New Zealand writer Rewi Alley, is one of the two most picturesque small towns in China. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, Phoenix Town is located in the south of the Tujia and Miao prefectures of our Hunan Province.
    Phoenix Town's history is very long and it can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty (221-206BC). Having been spended two or three days there,  visitors will be impressed by its air of mystery, elegance, and primitive simplicity, just like a phoenix.
  Tuo Jiang River flow through the small city, and it has been cultivated generations of Feng huang people. Women wash their clothes and clean rice and vegetables while the men fish with their nets. On the bank, food is prepared in much the same way as it has been for centuries. The image of those stilted houses built on the high riverbank and the green mountains behind them reflecting in the limpid wave of the Tuo Jiang shows a harmony of the ancient city.
The design of stilted houses is amazing. Every house is connected by corridors on three sides and has wooden balustrades (stairs and railing, usually leading to a balcony, bridge, or terrace) protruding over the river, offering great views.
When you visit the ancient town of phoenix, you will taste thick air of culture of this ancient small city, here is the hometown of a great writer and a famous painter, Shen Congwen and Wang Yongyu.

YONGLE PALACE MURALS（永乐宫壁画）


I am pleasure to introduce the famous place of my county--yongle palace murals.

Yongle Palace  was originally built as a Taoist temple in memory of Lu Dongbin, one of the Ba Xian (Eight Immortals) in Chinese mythology.It is renowned for  mural paintings,which are considered treasures of Chinese murals.The murals painted on the walls of its major halls such as Longhu (Dragon and tiger) Hall, Sanqing (Three Purities) Hall, Chunyang (Pure Sun) Hall and Chongyang (Double Sun) Hall  are representative art works of the Yuan Dynasty focusing on Taoist stories. The Sanqing Hall is the main hall of the Yongle Palace. Paintings were drawn inside and outside its alcoves and on the walls. The mural in the hall covers a total space of 403.34 square meters, and it decorates the hall like a relief sculpture. Records show the mural was drawn in 1325 during the Yuan Dynasty, and it has retained its original beauty even after the wear-and-tear of several hundred years.


Travels:Take bus from Yuncheng bus station between 6:10 am and 6:30 pm (10 yuan) to Ruicheng. From there, a cab to the palace costs 3 yuan,or you can spend half an hour to walk there .

Kaifeng is a city in Henan Province. It has about more than 2700 years history and owns splendid culture which makes it become

Jade Buddha Temple



Located in the city of Shanghai and as one of its famous Buddhist temples, Yufo Temple belongs to the Chan sect, and has a history of over one hundred years.

During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Monk Huigen from Putuo Mountain, on his way home after paying homage to Buddha in India, brought back from Myanmar 5 jade statures of Buddha of various size, and left in Shanghai 2 white-jade statues of one seated and one reclining of Sakyamuni for the specially built temple in Jiangwan, hence the name of the Temple. It was moved to the present address in 1918. Yufo Temple constructed in the style of the palace architecture of the Song Dynasty comprises the Hall of Heavenly King, the Precious Hall of Sakyamuni, the Hall of Reclining Buddha, the Pavilion of Jade Buddha etc.

As one of most precious relics in the Temple, the seated jade statue, 1.9 meters high and carved out of a single piece of jade stone has the image of a solemn Buddha and is reputed as a gem of Buddhist art works. Housed in the middle of the Pavilion of Jade Buddha, the seated statue of Buddha is decorated with dazzling Buddhist lights and gold girdles. Enshrined in the main room of the Hall of Reclining Buddha, the reclining statue of white jade, 0.96 meter long and lying on his side on a mahogany couch, is the image of Sakyamuni in nirvana with a serene and self-possessed expression. Here the air is heavy with smoke of burning incense all the year round and the sound of scripture-chanting never comes to an end.

Shanghai Grand View Garden



Situated by Dianshan Lake-side in Qingpu County in western Shanghai, the Grand View Garden is a classical garden modeled on what was described in the novel of Hongloumeng(A Dream of Red Mansions).
It consists of a dozen groups of scenic constructions such as Daguanlou(Grand View Tower), Xiaoxiangguan(Bamboo Lodge), Yihongyuan(Cheerful Red Court), Hengwuyuan(Lush Grass Court), Daoxiangcun(Paddy-Fragrance Cottage) etc. Being either elegant, or simple, or secluded or exquisite - they fully embody the charm and mood portrayed in "A Dream of Red Mansions" written by Caoxueqin.

Grand View Tower was the scene where Lady Jia, the imperial concubine, gave audience to her clansmen, while she was back home for a visit. The principal hall flanked by Hanfang Pavilion and Zhuijin Pavilion connecting each other via a corridor, links with the two verandas in the fore-court. In her pleasure time, she enjoyed performances on the stage standing on the side. Resplendent and magnificent, the Tower matched the imperial palace in glandeur and splendor.

Waitan of Shanghai



Waitan, named in memory of Doctor Sun Yet-sen, pioneer of the Chinese democratic revolution, is 1.5 kilometers long in total from Waibaidu Bridge in the north to East Jinling Road in the south. It runs along the Huangpu River on the east side, while its west side is aligned with 52 tall buildings of various styles: Gothic, baroque etc., from where the Western Powers exercised control over Shanghai's politics, economy, as well as culture in old China. The basic style of these architectures is identical and the overall outlines are in total harmony. Viewing them from afar or strolling among them, one is invariably impressed by their magnificence and grandeur. This "Display of Multi-national Architectures" has become a symbol of Shanghai.

At nightfall, when all the artistic lights decorating the buildings at the Bund are switched on, myriad crystal palaces appear, setting each other off, along with the TV Tower of the Oriental Pearl at the eastern bank of the Huangpu River. Tourists are mesmerized by the view.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower



Situated within the Pudong Park in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, with a giddy height of 468 meters, is the world's third tallest TV tower after the 553-meter CN Tower in Toronto and the 535-meter Moscow TV Tower.

With a unique design composed of balls and columns, the tower become Shanghai's new landmark and a big magnet for tourists. The designers magically set the eleven beautiful spheres of various sizes up from the green grassland to the blue sky with two giant spheres shining like two rubies. The whole design is rich in poetic and pictorial splendor, which gives the tourists the impression that pearls of various sizes are dropping onto the emerald plate.

The Oriental Pearl Tower consists of three big columns, which are 9 meters in diameter, the space module, the upper sphere, the lower sphere, five small spheres, tower base and the square. In the tower, there is a double-decked elevator, which can hold fifty people at a time, and two-speed elevator that can run at a speed of 7 meters per second. The tower is equipped with three-dimensional lighting installation, which makes the whole tower very colorful and beautiful.

The sightseeing floor in the brilliant upper sphere is 263 meters high and 45 meters in diameter; it is the best place to get a bird's eye-view of Shanghai. When it is sunny, it is really relaxed and happy to have the distant views of the Sheshan, the Chongming Island and the Yangtze River. In the upper sphere, there are also the Revolving Restaurant, the Disco Hall, the Piano Bar and twenty KTV rooms.

The Space module, with a height of 350 meters, towers uprightly into the sky. Inside, sightseeing Floor, Conference Hall and Coffee Bar were set. They are elegant and luxurious, enjoying exceptional advantages.

In the five spheres is the space hotel with twenty comfortable suites, 140 to 230 meters above the ground. It does give people a feeling of being on a spaceship. Up here, guests can sit in sofas and enjoy a bird's-eye-view of the city aloft from the bustling life in the streets. Each ball has a suite and three standard rooms on two levels connected by a winding stairway.
