(1) make a scene即show publicly that someone is angry in a noisy, unpleasant,
or embarrassing way，指「当众大闹」，例如﹕
Jack, there's no need to make a scene here in the restaurant with everyone
looking at us!
杰克，你没有必要在酒楼大吵大闹，大家都在看着我们呢﹗

(2) make the scene为美国俚语，有以下三种意思﹕

(a) 即put in an appearance，指「露面」，或「到场」，或「出席」，例如﹕
I've no time to make the scene at the party.
我没有时间去那个派对。

(b) 即participate in a specified activity，指「参加」(活动)，scene前可加修饰词，
例如﹕I think I'll make the political scene next.
下一步，我要参加政治活动。

(c) 即be successful，指「成功」，例如﹕
With his album they'll sure make the scene.
