　　东京：日本科研人员用动物自身的胚胎细胞，在实验室里培养出了青蛙的眼睛
和耳朵。东京大学的生物学家朝岛诚（Makoto　Asashima）先生说，这项技术将最
终帮助医生利用人体细胞为失去感觉器官或感觉器官受损的病人培养出替代物。

　　根据朝岛诚所言，研究人员在一种视网膜酸溶液中培养数千个胚胎细胞长达5天，
以期能长出器官。改变酸溶液的浓度就可以给细胞不同的基因指令，较低的浓度可
以激活长眼睛的基因，而浓度高一点则可导致耳朵的生长。

　　TOKYO－Japanese　researchers　have　grown　frog　eyes　and　ears　
in　a　lab,　using　the　animal's　own　embryo　cells.　　Biologist　
Makoto　Asashima　of　Tokyo　University　says　the　technology　could　
eventually　help　doctors　to　use　human　cells　to　generate　
replacements　for　lost　or　damaged　sensory　organs　in　humans.　　　
According　to　Asashima,　researchers　cultivated　thousands　of　
embryo　cells　in　a　retinoic　acid　solution　for　five　days　to　
produce　the　organs.　　Varying　the　concentration　of　the　acid　
somehow　gives　different　genetic　instructions　to　the　cells.　　A　
lower　concentration　activates　a　set　of　genes　producing　eyes,　
while　a　higher　concentration　leads　to　the　production　of　ears.
