　　纽约市：曼哈顿妇产科医生阿伦·扎尔金在给一位妇女做完剖腹产后，觉得自
己完成了一项如此“漂亮的工作”，便在该产妇的腹部“签”上了自己姓名的字头，
为此，他正受到有关方面的调查并遭该妇女起诉。据在纽约市贝特·伊斯拉耶尔医
疗中心所进行的这一手术的见证人所说，扎尔金医生将7厘米大的字母AZ刻在了初为
人母的琳达·盖兹的肚皮上，那是去年9月7日她服用镇静剂睡着之后发生的。盖兹
女士状告扎尔金和这所医院，索赔550万美元，她说她觉得“自己就像个被打上烙印
的牲口”。

　　此事件后被同事们冠之以“佐罗医生”的扎尔金，因另外两起医疗事故正受到
曼哈顿地区律师办公室的调查，他已同意暂停行医，直到判决结果出来再说。

　　NEW　YORK(Reuters)-Manhattan　obstetrician　Allan　Zarkin　is　
being　investigated-and-sucd-for　allegedly　carving　his　　initials　
on　a　woman's　abdomen　after　performing　a　Caesarean　section　
because　he　felt　he　had　done　such\"a　beautiful　job\".　According　
to　witnesses　of　the　surgical　procedure　at　New　York's　Beth　
Israel　Medical　Center,Dr　Zarkin　etched　the　letters　AZ,seven　
centimeters　high,into　the　skin　of　new　mother　Linda　Gedz　as　
she　lay　sedated．　Ms　Gedz　is　suing　Zarkin　and　the　hospital　
for　$5.5　million,saying　she　\"seels　like　a　branded　animal\".?

　　Dr　Zarkin,dubbed　\"Dr　Zorro\"by　hospital　staff　following　the　
incident,is　being　investigated　by　the　Manhattan　district　
attorney's　office　for　two　other　alleged　incidents　of　medical　
misconduct.He　has　agreed　to　suspend　his　medical　practice
