　　美国南卡罗莱那州查里斯顿市：近日，英格兰人特雷弗·塔斯克从英国飞到南
卡罗莱那州与威妮玛·费·舒美特女士相见。此前，他一直在因特网上向该女士求
婚。然而，声称自己是三十多岁的舒美特女士竟然是一位65岁的老太太，而且本月
初还进了监狱，原因是当局在她房间的冰箱里发现了一具尸体。该尸体是曾与她同
室居住的70岁的詹姆斯·欧尼尔的。舒美特女士因对尸体的擅自搬移或者说不敬而
受到指控。

　　这样一来，受了骗的塔斯克仍然是孑然一身。

　　CHARLESTON,　South　Carolina-Englishman　Trevor　Tasker　flew　from　
Britain　to　South　Carolina　recently　to　meet　Wynema　Faye　Shumate,
the　woman　whom　he　had　been　wooing　over　the　Internet.Ms　
Shumate,supposedly　in　her　thirties,turned　out　to　be　a　
65-year-old　who　had　been　jailed　earlier　this　month　after　
authorities　found　a　body　in　a　freezer　at　her　home.　　The　
corpse　was　that　of　Shumate's　former　roommate,James　O'Neil,70.
Shumate　has　been　charged　with　unauthorized　removal　or　
desecration　of　human　remains.

　　　And　thus　the　deceived　Mr　Tasker　finds　himself　still　
single.
