Women are self-critical creatures. They pay far more attention to themselves than men could have hardly ever dreamed of, and they follow such an imposing approach to finding fault with themselves that only the most brilliant critic could occasionally do with a clumsy work. They are never satisfied with themselves and the process through which they try to maintain or improve their image they believe other people would expect of them is always there.
Single women are those with the highest sensitivity to the notion of time. But if you take it that they constantly examine their watches or something else that functions the same so that they could keep schedules, you are wrong. Many a man who has ever dated a woman would readily endorse on such an argument. Generally speaking, women’s understanding of time is not based on the viewpoint of physicists but changes on their faces. This is a fact that could be deduced from the astronomical figures spent on cosmetics every year which only serve to fulfill the dream to stop the passage of time.
Working mother are those whose talents should have been played to a full swing. Think of the trivialities of everyday life and the care of children. Yes, if they had not have children too soon, they would have been more successful. But they have no complaints, a would-be radical contrast if working fathers are placed in a similar position. However, when what are involved are worries, the situation changes. For example, working mothers are generally believed to be more concerned with an ugly bulgy abdomen. While their counterparts may not treat it as a problem at all, working mothers would try every possible means to get rid of it including refusing their favorite food.
Divorced women are those who are most afraid of yet make no less comment on marriage. Although there is no difference between men and women concerning the legal status, the effect of an end to a marriage is more acute for women. They may be very sorry for their rash and headlong decision-making of many years ago and grow both more sorrowful and more hopeful about a future marriage, but they seldom take active actions as like men would do, only preferring to enjoy sadly the image in the mirror while envisioning a happy family in the mind.
Housewives are those who make innovations at home. Not only does the dust and waste experience an everlasting attack, but everything related to daily routines are in constant motion as well. This particularly applies to the furniture. I know a housewife who always tries to make a better format and layout of the same apartment. The biggest problem always coming in the way is the dinner table which seems no place to fix into, for every piece of space has been attempted except, of cause, the one right facing the door.
Career women are those who can justifiably confront what is known as male chauvinism. They are all confident because they each have achieved some success in this respect or that, and they are all powerful because they hold sway over many resources including the working hours of the men in their departments or divisions. And their confidence and power seems to produce a two-way benefit, with one added to the other. But ironically, the more confident and powerful, the less probable for them to find the people they are likely to be willing to marry, and the men who are brave enough to approach them become increasingly fewer as time goes by.
Everyone in the female category holds a certain kind of self-criticism to a greater or less degree. But it makes no difference what characteristics each kind displays when against the broader background of the difference between men and women. What really matters is that men are not so self-critical and that they are therefore able to discern, and then, to appreciate women’s femininity and loveliness. |
