“双重被动”两句型

在英语被动句中，谓语后面出现过去分词作主语补足语时，句中就出现双被动结构，即“双重被动”结构。它主要表现在下面两句型中。
句型一：主语+be+过去分词（made／heard／noticed／seen等感官使役动词）＋过去分词＋其它。这种句型直接用过去分词作主语补足语，后面不宜出现to be或to have been。

例如：
１．The old man was noticed knocked down at the street corner．有人看到这老人在街道拐弯处被撞倒。
２．The rules should be made known to them all．应让他们都知道这些规矩。
句型二：主语＋be＋过去分词（said／reported／expected／supposed／believed／considered等表看法推测等动词）＋to be done／to have been done＋其它。这种句型后须用不定式作主语补足语，后面的to be／to have been不宜省略。如不定式动作发生在谓语动词动作之后，就用一般式；如不定式动作发生在谓语动词动作之前，就用完成式。例如：
３．The date of his wedding is expected to be set soon．他的婚期估计会很快定下。
４．Martin was said to be transferred to another department．据说马丁要调往其它部门。
５．More than 200 people were supposed to have been killed in the fire.估计那场火烧死了200多人。
６．This book is reported to have been translated into English.据报道这本书已被译成英语。
