Grab, rob, steal都与“偷、抢”有关，但程度有所不同
1、grab意为“抢夺”，说明粗暴地从他人手中压走，其宾语是被抢夺的物品，较steal明目张胆些
The thief grabbed the shoulder bag from woman and ran off.
贼抢了那个妇女的肩包便跑。
He grabbed my bag.

2、  steal意为“偷、窃”，其宾语是物，即steal sth.
Who stole my money?
谁偷了我的钱？
It’s wrong to steal.

3、rob指用武力、暴力抢劫，性质比较恶劣，易造成伤害，其宾语是被抢劫的某人或某处。即：rob sb. /rob sth. (of sth.)

rob, steal, plunder, deprive
这些动词均含“偷，抢，夺”之意。
rob: 最常用词，指用暴力恐吓或哄骗等非法手段抢夺财物。
steal: 普通用词，指暗中行窃。
plunder: 指大规模或大范围地掠夺。
deprive: 多指夺去或扣留别人拥有或可能拥有的有价值或必需的东西，也可用于指抽象的事物。

robber, thief, burglar, bandit, gangster, pirate
