B: My biggest trouble in learning English is listening. I just can't follow the speaker or the tape, though the words turn out to be those I learned along time ago. Sometimes, I haven't figured out a sentence when the next comes.

B: Yes, I have. I got 88 in the CET Band 6.

A: What is your opinion on going to study abroad?
B: I think it is a nice opportunity. We can learn advanced science and  technology from other countries and use it to make China stronger. We can  also make China better known to the outside world.

A: Tell us something about a traditional Chinese festival.
B: The Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival in China. It falls on the first day of the Lunar New Year, but the preparations and celebration practically last nearly a month. People get to their home from all parts of the country for a family reunion and visit to their relatives and friends. It is an annual event for the Chinese, especially for the kids.

A: What do you think of Chinese celebration of foreign festivals, say, the Christmas?
B: In my opinion, it is OK as long as you like to. But I think it more important to learn the spirit than merely the form.

A: Have you ever helped your parents with housework?
B: Yes. As a matter of fact, I always help my parents with the washing, cleaning and shopping. I enjoy doing this once in a while, and my parents feel happy to find me a help to them. They have the feeling that I am growing up.

B: I think smoking is a bad habit. It not only causes diseases and pollutes the environment, but also costs a lot of money. I will never start to smoke and I suggest others not do it.

B: Our history teacher is of medium height. He is strict with us and kind to us. He is devoted to his work and amiable to his students. We've learned a lot from him.

B: Yes. Not long ago, I met an American woman on the street. She wanted to go to the museum but didn't know the way. She was happy that there was someone to help her, and I was happy that I could understand her and make myself understood.

B: In spite of the one-child policy, I prefer a family with two or three children. We'll have our playmates at home and won't feel so lonely. We can also learn to help each other and try to be the best when we are very small.

B: The four seasons are quite distinct in my hometown. It is wet in spring, hot in summer, cool in autumn and cold in winter. There are different activities in different seasons.

B: Of all the seasons in a year, I like autumn best. It is neither hot nor cold. The sky is clear and blue. It's the best time for me to do my hobby - travelling. Autumn is harvest time, so we can have all kinds of fruits. It's also the most comfortable season for study and work.

B: Last Saturday, my classmates and I went for an outing in the suburbs. It was a fine day with a gentle breeze. We went by bike. We sat in a circle, singing, dancing and talking. B: This happened when I was a child of 8. One day, I told a lie to my neighbor, saying that his son had been hit by a car. My neighbor was shocked at this. He hurried to the police station and the hospitals. When my father learned this, he gave me a good beating and told me to apologize to the neighbor. Later he told me the famous \"Wolf Story\", saying dishonest people would eventually ruin themselves. I made up my mind to be an honest child, and I've come to know \"Honesty is best policy\".

B: I admire Helen Keller most. Though she became blind as an infant girl, she overcame all hardships and became a great woman. I am greatly inspired by her courage and perseverance.
