1.

  Where are you going
  at a time so late,
  beautiful train,
  you lonely angel?
Whether you are in the mood to pull up,
The distance will see your indomitable determination.
Why should I not wave my handkerchief?
  Go,
  Wish you a pleasant journey,
and may all the tunnels bright,
  and all the bridges sturdy.
2.

Now I am senile and have lived in the city for long, my hometown is more like a dream to me. Facing a rape flower, I was transported back in time and recalled many things. The bygones are just like the bitterness of the rape flower, light and illusive, only capable of arousing my melancholy.

   Random Picking

If the spring of life befalls again,
The ancient frozen water will defreeze and go gurgling on.
Then I will see the radiant smile,
And hear the loud and clear call.

---These beautiful things will never vanish,
because all the beauties will last for ever.
  Sometimes they freeze like water,
But in time they will bloom like flowers.

4.

   Leisurely Steps
    By Dai Wangshu

Promise me, bypass these wooden fences,
and go sit on the deserted chair by the river.
Nibbling the sand shore are the endless waves,
which, through your delicate bare feet
would eventually loosen your sealed lips.
and here, amidst the maple trees,
scarlet and motionless as your lips,
though the wind of the lingering autumn is yet to come,
i was able to feel the chill
    because of your silence.

Acknowlegement: I used zoeoz‘s translation under another thread and made some small alterations. My thanks go to her for this beautiful rendition.(by可怜白发生)
5.

The mental burden is shed now.
  Please, please forgive me
  Life entails
  keeping being hurt
  and keeping convalescing
  The world is still
  a ripe orchard
  tenderly waiting for me.
6.

  Brig
My wings the fog has wetted,
But my hesitation the wind will not tolerate.
  O’ shore, my dear shore,
Only yesterday I bade you farewell
  Today you are here again,
And tomorrow we shall be meeting
  At another latitude.

  A storm and a lantern
  Have brought us together;
  Another storm and another lantern
  Will tear us apart.
  However far we will travel,
However long we will be separated,
You are always on my route,
And I forever in your sight.

  Valediction
  We are supposed to berth
at many stops in our life.
  May every stop be
  a light in the fog,
though nobody will ever shield me
  from the roaring wind with his shoulder;
or tuck the white scarf around me
  with his frozen stiff finger.
May the light be on, like today,
Then even when ice and snow seal every path,
There will be people heading for the distance.

  We are destined to lose
  many more days and nights.
I ask for no more than
  a tranquil morning.
  The crumpled handkerchief
Is spread on the damp bench.
You open your blue notebook, and hear
The lingering footsteps of last night’s rain
  under the mango trees.
Write down two stanzas and leave,
  then I will remember
  your footprints and figure
engraved on the trail by the lake.

If there were not be parting and reunion,
if we dare not suffer glee and sorrow,
What is the meaning of soul,
And what is the meaning of living?

   Bridge

“The distance between you and her is ocean wide.”
“Even if it is ocean wide,
I will carry the grey bricks and mortar day and night,
to build a bridge across the sea.”

“It may have taken millions of years before it is completed.”
“But I will busy myself throughout my lifetime—
I can not allow myself to spend such a long life
watching the iridescence on the other side idle.”

   You and me
We stand below the Milky Way, shoulder to shoulder
The world is in deep slumber.
  the twin stars
  twinkling in our hearts.
  Hand in hand,
we look up at the sky,
  speechless.
Through the depth of our hearts
  a mysterious shiver flashes.

     10.假如你走来 陈敬容

    假如你走来;
    在一个微温的夜晚,
    轻轻地走来,
    叩我寂寥的门窗;

    假如你走来,
    不说一句话,
    将你战栗的肩膀,
    依靠白色的墙。

    我将从沉思的坐椅中
    静静地立起
    在书页中寻出来
    一朵萎去的花
    插在你的衣襟上。

    我也将给你一个缄默,
    一个最深的凝望;
    而当你又踽踽地走去,
    我将哭泣——
    是因为幸福,
    不是悲伤。

  When you come over

  If you come over, softly
On a lukewarm night, and knock
  at my lonely door.

If you come over, without a word,
  And lean your trembling shoulder,
  Against the white wall.

  I will rise, quietly,
  from the chair of meditation,
  and search through the pages
  for a withered flower
and stick it on the front of your skirt.

I will keep my mouth sealed,
and give you a profoundest gaze.
  When you loiter away,
  I will cry----
  due of happiness
  not sorrow.
11.

Twilight, Early fall. The screen-like green cliffs surrounded the vast meadow. With the ever-green pine and cypress trees as the backdrop, the crystal-clear meandering brook flowed cold. Beyond lay the crop field, like mosaic patterns, one plot after another, extending to the distance. Golden rice spikes surged at the kiss of the wind, promising a very good harvest. The gentle breeze smacked of a scent of ripeness. Night, like evening tides, had fallen, drowning the chirping of crickets and the fluttering of wild bees’ wings.

   Ballad of Long Vale

When a fringe first covered my forehead,
I‘d sport outdoor plucked flowers in hand.
Then thou came riding a bamboo horse
Round the seat and green plums toss‘d.
Thus we lived here in Long Vale Lane,
Two young pals bonded in trust plain.

    At fourteen I was wedded to thee;
Bashful I think I was then indeed.
My head bowed, I faced a dark wall,
Back turned on thy many a call.

    At fifteen I first unknit my brows;
\"Unto ash and dust,\" so I swore vows.
Thou bear me firm faith as of Weisheng,
Need I watch for thee on the mountain?

When I was sixteen thou travelled afar
To the greatest reef thou ever passed.
June was the cruelest month for your lady:
From the Gorge I heard apes wail mournfully.

The footprints thou left last before the door
New moss was coverin’ one and one more.
    The moss was too thick to sweep away;
Autumn wind brought leaves yellow and grey.

September came with bufferflies in pair
That flutter in our garden grass so fair.
The sight fills my heart with much sorrow
That wilts my rosy cheeks never slow.

Whenever you return down the River,
Be sure to send home ahead a letter.
However far Longwind Dale is away
I‘d go there awaiting thee on the way.

Acknowledgement: The credit is liulaoshi‘s. I took the liberty of using his rendition because i could not do better. This is one of my favorite Tang poems, and liulaoshi‘s translation is also amazing.Enjoy it, guys.
