耶鲁大学精英与骷髅会
中国国家主席胡锦涛结束在耶鲁大学的演讲会后，记者抽空在耶鲁大学校园内转悠，发现有几栋神秘古怪的建筑，上面没有任何窗户，紧锁的大门让人猜不透里面究竟有什么秘密。其中有一座外号叫“坟墓”的棕色建筑，与耶鲁大学灰色的主色调显得有些格格不入，那是耶鲁大学最著名的秘密社团“骷髅和骨头”(骷髅会)的总部所在地。布什总统本人、其父老布什总统等家人曾是这里的常客，因为他们都曾是耶鲁大学的优等生。
随着胡主席到访耶鲁，有关“骷髅会”的历史也竞相为全球媒体所报道。
秘密兄弟会互帮互助
据耶鲁大学校友介绍，“骷髅会”成立于1832年，宗旨是为了给移民美国的英裔精英分子的后代们创造一个宗教性质的秘密兄弟会，让该组织的成员形成一个互助关系网，以此互相帮助走上“通往财富和权力”的道路。自成立以来，“骷髅会”逐渐发展成为一个秘而不宣但又神通广大的社会关系网，一旦成为该会会员，无论在从商还是在从政的道路上，都会得到该组织相识的或从未谋面的成员的鼎力支持和资助。
在1943年耶鲁大学“骷髅会”15名成员中，其中一人是美国前驻华大使李洁明的哥哥富兰克林，他于1920年12月26日出生在中国的芜湖，后来回美国上学。
据李洁明介绍，这些成员每星期开会一次，主要目的是增进会员之间的感情与思想沟通，有时作批评和自我批评，有时也有争论。“骷髅会”拥有一个小岛，成员经常在夏天到那里旅游野餐并商谈天下大事，交流彼此看法。当这15人毕业离开耶鲁大学时，他们彼此之间已经情同手足，建立了特殊的情感。
入会严格仪式特殊
耶鲁大学每年有2000名学生毕业，“骷髅会”每年从大学四年级学生中吸收15名精英入会。记者最近在一位美国朋友办公室看到一张1943年耶鲁大学“骷髅会”15名成员的照片，左右两边各站立着6人，中间1人站在讲台后面，他前面又坐着2人。这些人西装革履，脸上没有一丝笑容。他们面前摆着一个骷髅头和两根交叉在一起的骨头。正中间的墙上悬着一口挂钟，时针指向晚上8点。
“骷髅会”的名字挺吓人的，据说高年级学生加入该会时，必须亲吻骷髅头，然后与其他会员合演一段遭到杀害的情节。再早一些时候，“骷髅会”新成员们被要求赤身裸体躺在一口棺材里，并当众讲述自己的性经历。这一招可以使“骷髅会”成员相互知道隐私，一旦将来有人要脱离“骷髅会”时，其他成员就以此威胁对方不得说出其中的秘密。近年来，由于“骷髅会”开始向女生开放，因此这一有些荒唐的仪式也已成为历史。
