巴格达一车库遇袭十八人丧生 (18 Killed in Baghdad Garage Attack)

伊拉克当局说，在反叛分子星期二对巴格达一个车库的袭击中至少有18人丧生。警方说，反叛分子引爆汽车炸弹前开枪打死了五名警卫。至少还有33人受伤。发动袭击的原因目前还不清楚。

早些时候，伊拉克当局说，警方和反叛分子在巴格达多拉区交火，至少有六名平民丧生。在巴格达另外一个地方，一名徒步巡逻的美国士兵被一枚路边炸弹炸死。星期一，两名美国军人在巴格达发生的一起类似的爆炸事件中丧生。

与此同时，萨达姆审判案的被告证人就这位前领导人的三名同案被告出庭作证，他们被控在1982年杜杰勒村148名什叶派穆斯林被屠杀的事件中犯有反人类罪。


Iraqi authorities say at least 18 people were killed in an insurgent attack in a Baghdad car garage Tuesday. Police say insurgents shot five guards before setting off a car bomb. At least 33 other people were wounded. The reason for the attack was not immediately known.

Earlier, Iraqi authorities say at least six civilians were killed in crossfire between police and insurgents in Baghdad's Dora district. In another part of Baghdad, a roadside bomb killed a U.S. soldier on foot patrol. Two Americans were killed by a similar bomb in Balad Monday.

Meanwhile, in Saddam Hussein's trial defense witnesses testified for three of the former leader's co-defendants who are accused of crimes against humanity for the 1982 massacre of 148 Shi'ites from the village of Dujail.
