I certainly believed, so long as everybody thought has been good, now in ours life, if we have no computer, what our word will be ? Perhaps you can say, there was not have the computer before to be also the same! Yes! But if I said, if does not have the telephone, the television, the automobile, even does not have the electricity? You also can give such reply?

I think i cannot approve Bingchuan ,certainly I consider that when the teacher employ the multimedia teaching ,some students cannot not follow the teaching ,because it is too fast! I suffer from this badly!
I agree that the computer should be the necessity in teaching, because all those who studied in the ealier era have suffered the tedious words in the class while falling into asleep. Those who stress on the importance of communication indeed take the key point of teaching in hand, however it doesn't necessarily lead to the silence to those who know how to enhance the quality and interesting of teaching.
It is indeed the enjoyment when the teacher as human to talk with another group of humans with the reasoning and the emotion in it, however, it is not that every teacher can do that. It would be more interesting when the teacher shows pictures in his computer, for instance, the city of New York, than he describes the city with words. When teacher teaches medicine according the textbook, the pictures or the videos in the computer would help more.
The role of computer is not just limited in teaching but also in handling homework and communitcation. It is faster and convenient for students submit their homework on line, and ask questions through internet, especially if the teacher has his own homepage. The teacher can easily distribute his teaching materials or supplementaries to others teachers or students, and get the feedback in time.
I think the computer is one of the most important assisting tools for teaching, but not the necessity. My arguments come in the following paragraphs.
As an effective teaching accessorial tool, computers are used more widely in modern campuses. The most popular question after class usually is “have you copied the courseware”, from which we can imagine what an important role the computer plays during the teaching process.
The introduction of computers into classes makes it more convenient for teachers to project the content on the screen, which saves lots of time from writing on the blackboard. In addition, the injection of some multimedia information, such as audio, video and pictures, which can not be showed under the traditional way, also makes the lesson more vivid and attractive.
The use of courseware makes it easy for students to copy, share and review the contents of lessons, through which we can also share resources breaking through the boundary of countries and universities with the help of Internet. Teachers can use course wares from some famous universities for reference to ameliorate the content. This is also necessary for teachers to gain some latest information overseas.
Someone may query that it is a tedious job for teachers to prepare the representation with computers. However, it’s done once and for ever. Afterward there is only some complement and update needed. In contrast to the conventional way, teaching with courseware can avoid the process of writing slowly and repeatedly during different semesters.
Despite the dependency and convenience that computers bring to us, it does not mean it is inevitable and better for teachers to teach with it. Whether it can achieve more efficient results depends on the character of lessons and contents to be explained. For example, the deduction of formulas in some courses, such as mathematics or physics, needs much time for students to comprehend. Under conventional ways students can make full use of the chance that teachers writing on the blackboard to think about it. On the contrary, if the deduction is played in PPT quickly without necessary doodling and dotting, it is usually difficult for students to grasp what it really means. One side effect that we did not predict initially is students’ skipping classes with the course wares in hand.
According to the arguments above I conclude that computers facilitate the teaching process greatly and teachers should decide whether to use blackboards, computers or the combination of both two to achieve best effect.
In my opinion, the computer is not a necessity but an assistant in today's teaching.
Indeed, computers have played an increasingly important role in teaching. Nowadays almost every classroom is equipped with computers and projectors. It is so convenient to give lectures or make a presentation with the help of computers. teaching materials or procedures are presented in a so vivid manner that they can attract students' attention and arouse their interest without effort.
However, they are still a teaching aid. If the students are not the center of all classroom activities, efficiently as lectures are conducted, the sole purpose of teaching will not be achieved, that is, students must have more opportunities to think and proctice. There are a variety of ways to achieve the end and we do not necessarily resort to multimedia tools.
A great amount of money is needed to equip every classroom with multimedia facilities and maintain them. why not use the money to aid some porverty-stricken students to go through their college.
In a word, the question is how we use computers to our best advantage.

Third, computer individualize everyone'studying. Because everyone is different and his rate of progress is differnt.By repeating easily and agility, everyong will be benefit from computer.

When we discuss the "必需品", or necessity, does it means there is a contradiction between "the teacher" and the "computer"? I don't think so. It just mean that importance of computer is being recognized and it is taking a role that we cannot imagine in the past. There is no question teacher should be there, can you imagine that I can study just at home with the computer myself. The books can be downloaded, the teaching video can be downloaded, the listening material can be downlaoded. I study while watching the video materials. I see the teacher in the videos, in the cassettes, and in the books. 3D pictures make the learning more interesting and I enjoy in the learning process.
I remebered the teacher when I was in the high school and universtiy. They had to write the whole black board with chalks, again and again. The flying chalk power with teacher's tired face, and the students sleepy mind, I felt so bad. There is always a question that what the role the teacher should play. It seems the teacher is like just the textbooks, in stead of the arts, even though it is tedious, but it has to do like so in order to show the humaness of the teacher.
computer provides a nice way of teaching, which teacher doesn't need teaching with his own organ alway, he take advantage of other tool, which can make the teaching more interesting and the learning more efficient. There is a voice that stresses the importance of communication between humans. but this doesn't mean that the teacher who fully takes advantaged of computer in teaching gives up communicating.
The difference is that in the past, teacher is 100% in the teaching (for example, drawing a graph to explain), and the computer is 20%. and now, teacher is still there 100%, but computer is now 80%. To combine the two together doesn't mean the role of teacher decrease, on the contrary, it should be the teacher plus the computer and get to rather meaningful consequence.
