[柯林斯高阶美式英语词典].Collins.Cobuild.Advanced.Dictionary.Of.American.English.2007本词典属根据世界着名的三大语料库之一COBUILD中的英语语料库（The Bank of English）编写的工具书。词典中的例词和例句均取材于COBUILD英语语料库。故本词典收录了当代英语词目75000余条，其中4000余条为近年来进入英语的新词。本词典英语语料地道实用，版面新颖，语言信息特别详尽。本词典能帮助使用者扩大词汇量，不断提高口笔语能力，增强使用英语的自信心，是适合中高等程度的英语教师和学生使用的一本极有价值的参考工具书。
柯林斯的特点是解释通俗易懂，每个解释都是用一句话来表达的，还有各种同意词举例，还有比如说形容词能不能用比较及，和什么介词搭配，动词能有几种句型可以使用都有说明。
柯林斯的优点就不多说了，手边必备书目。而其缺憾一直在其只有英式发音上，在下为此一直要多挂一个韦氏来弥补。07年柯林斯推出了美式英语版，包含了美式发音（和三版一样无音标），例句与四五版持平（只大略对比了一下）。个人以为算是词典中的上品，特此共享。
