What I want to do is/are???

Should I use 'is' or 'are' in the following sentence?
What I want to do is about 3 things.
What I want to do are about 3 things.

You should use the first sentence.
Because "is" or "are" does not depend on "3 things".
In other words,"3 things" have nothing to do with "is" or "are" but "to do"
