The alphabet was borrowed from the Phoenicians by the Greeks and passed on to the people of the Italic peninsula who gave it the characteristic form we think of as the alphabet. In early Rome, the letters were:A B C D E F H I K L M N O P Q R S T V X.The Roman alphabet in Classical times consisted of the following letters: A B C D E F G H I K L M N O P Q R S T V X Y Z.Today we have 3 additional letters in our alphabet: J, U, WPlease let me know if I've made an error.
