SYNOPSIS:
On June 4, 1996, Robert MA aka Bao Ping MA or Robert Ping Chung MA,
was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in the Northern District of California
for smuggling firearms in violation of Title 18, United States Code,
Sections 545 and 922. MA was indicted along with 13 other individuals for
various weapons and money laundering violations. MA is believed to and
should be considered Armed and Dangerous. It's alleged that MA participated
in the unlawful smuggling into the U.S. of 20,000 rifle bipods using a
People's Republic of China company. It's alleged MA participated in the
smuggling of 2,000 fully automatic machine guns from another People's
Republic of China company. It is also alleged MA participated in the
distribution of machine gun silencers manufactured in China for entry into
the U.S. MA travels to China regularly, however, he was last seen in the San
Fransisco, California area.
